Priority Fresh Supplies – Savusavu – Winner of the Agriculture Award in the Developing SMEs Category sponsored by Sun Insurance
Based in Belego in Savusavu, Priority Fresh Supplies is owned by Mr. Rajeshwar Sami who is farmer and market vendor by trade. He started off as a Dalo and vegetable farmer after purchasing a farm through financial assistance from the Fiji Development Bank [FDB] in 2011. He was engaged in producing vegetables such as beans, cabbage, okra, cucumber and tomatoes.
Over the years, Mr. Sami saw the increasing demand for eggs in Savusavu and decided to go into poultry farming. Today, he has over 1000 layer birds, producing 87 dozen eggs per day which he sells at the Savusavu Market.
Priority Fresh Supplies is managed by Mr Sami, his wife and their son, Prashant who received the award on behalf of his father.
