Agriculture Award

Agriculture Livestock

To award an SME that operates in the Agriculture-Livestock business, whose operations (jointly or singularly) must not comprise less than 60% of agriculture livestock activities.

Eligibility Criteria

1. An SME[1];
2. Has been in Livestock business for over two years and whose operations (jointly or singularly) must not comprise less than 60% of agriculture livestock activities;
3. Have consistent or growing sales trend for past two years;
4. Have efficient Book Keeping attributes;
5. Engages in Marketing and Customer Relations initiatives, and
6. Evidence of at least one Climate Change adaptation and/or mitigation activity.

[1] Small enterprise generates up to $100,000 in annual sales and employs up to 20 people; and a Medium enterprise generates $100,000 in sales up to $500,000 annually and employs 21 – 50 people. At FDB, our SME loans range from as little as $1,000 to $500,000.

Aquaculture Agriculture

To award an SME that operates in the Agriculture-Aquaculture business, whose operations (jointly or singularly) must not comprise less than 60% of aquaculture activities.

Eligibility Criteria

1. An SME;
2. Has been in Aquaculture business for over two years and whose operations (jointly or singularly) must not comprise less than 60% of aquaculture activities;
3. Have consistent or growing sales trend for past two years;
4. Have efficient Book Keeping attributes;
5. Engages in Marketing and Customer Relations initiatives, and
6. Evidence of at least one Climate Change adaptation and/or mitigation activity.

Agriculture Mixed Farming

To award an SME that practices Intercrop farming (any two or more of crops), and may include combination of livestock and aquaculture, which when considered jointly, must not comprise less than 60% of Intercrops of the farm’s production.

Eligibility Criteria

1. An SME;
2. Has been in Intercrop Farming business, which is a multiple cropping practice involving growing two or more crops in proximity to produce a greater yield on a given piece of land by making use of resources or ecological processes that would otherwise not be utilized by a single crop;
3. Have consistent or growing sales trend for past two years;
4. Have efficient Book Keeping attributes;
5. Engages in Marketing and Customer Relations initiatives, and
6. Evidence of at least one Climate Change adaptation and/or mitigation activity.

Agriculture Advanced Agriculture

To award an SME incorporates best practice in agriculture or that employs advanced agriculture techniques/ Organic Farming that either improves the yield or makes the produce more resistant to the impacts caused by Climate Change.

Eligibility Criteria

1. An SME;
2. Incorporates best practice in agriculture or that employs advanced agriculture techniques that either improves the yield or makes the produce more resistant to the impacts caused by Climate Change;
3. Practices or employs a type of technology (either mechanical or technical) that improves the yield or makes the produce more resistant to the impacts caused by Climate Change;
4. Have consistent or growing sales trend for past two years;
5. Have efficient Book Keeping attributes;
6. Engages in Marketing and Customer Relations initiatives, and
7. Evidence of at least one Climate Change adaptation and/or mitigation activity.
