FDB Offers RBF's Flood Rehabilitation Facility

Farms and business affected by the recent floods in the West can call into a Fiji Development Bank branch nearest them to enquire about accessing the Reserve Bank of Fiji’s (RBF’s) Flood Rehabilitation Facility (FRF).

The FRF has been offered previously to businesses affected in the January 2009 Floods and Cyclone Tomas in March 2010.
 
The FRF is available to affected farmers and businesses at na interest rate of 6% per annum.A maximum loan amount of $500,000 per business can be considered under this facility. To qualify, the farm or business must have existed prior to the floods in January 2012. The affected can access this facility for the following: 
 
 
a. replacement of flood damaged inventory;
 
b. repair or replacement of flood damaged plant, equipment
 
and machinery;
 
c.     restoration of flood damaged buildings including resorts and hotels;
 
d.     replacement of business vehicles damaged by the flood; and
 
e.     Working capital due to loss of sales.
 
Certain other conditions apply and applicants can discuss with the Relationship & Sales Officers in the respective branches.
 
This package is effective immediately.
